Austrocontrol completes SESAR deployment Implementation Project RNP APCH RWY 29 Vienna

👏 Congrats to Austro Control with local partner Austrian Airlines (Lufthansa Group) for the implementation of highly innovative PBN procedures both for departure as well as arrival flight phases at Flughafen Wien - Vienna Airport such as RNP 1 SIDs which incorporates RF (radius-to-fix) functionality, a highly innovative and new PBN-to-ILS concept as well as RNP APCH approaches (LNAV, LNAV/VNAV, and LPV (SBAS EGNOS) procedures. All of this was achieved thanks to the completion of #SESAR deployment Project 2016_147_AF1.

▶️ This project immediately contributes in significant minimizing of noise footprints in the vicinity of Vienna Airport and simultaneously improve flight efficiency by saving fuel and Co2.
