Commission proposal on 2016 CEF Transport Calls for Proposals
On 23 June, the European Commission (EC) proposed to allocate 2.7 billion euro investment in 152 projects, including projects in the Funding Objective 3.3.1, Single European Sky – SESAR.
Selected projects will contribute to modernising rail lines, removing bottlenecks and improving cross-border connections, installing alternative fuel supply points, as well as implementing innovative traffic management solutions.
This proposal must now be formally approved by the EU Member States represented in the Connecting Europe Facility Coordination Committee. The final funding decision is planned to be announced on 6 July 2017.
Subsequently all stakeholders who have submitted a proposal via the SESAR Deployment Manager will be informed bilaterally on the detailed results of this decision and the impact on their projects as indicated in the roadmap they received.
