ENAIRE showcases ATM modernisation projects coordinated by SESAR Deployment Manager
Our Member and Implementing Partner ENAIRE released a comprehensive report summarising its Air Traffic Management modernisation work under the SESAR Deployment and Infrastructure Partnership, coordinated by the SESAR Deployment Manager (SDM) and supported by EU funding via CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency).
The newly published overview highlights more than 20 completed modernisation projects, showcasing ENAIRE’s critical role in transforming Air Traffic Management and advancing the European Single Sky. These projects deliver concrete benefits across the aviation sector: enhancing airport-integration tools, increasing airspace capacity, and improving information-sharing systems.
Key achievements from the completed projects include:
Deployment of airport integration and throughput solutions, helping to optimise operations and runway efficiency.
Implementation of airspace capacity enhancements, such as Free Route Airspace operations, allowing aircraft to fly more direct trajectories.
Development of information sharing systems, including infrastructure based on System-Wide Information Management (SWIM) principles, to support secure and interoperable data exchanges.
