First edition of SES Digital Backbone Newsletter launched
Similar to other industries, European ATM is becoming more digital information interdependent each day. The ATM Masterplan shows a clear vision of digitalization, automation and virtualization. Remote Towers, ATM virtual centers and drones are clear examples of the digital transformation happening in ATM today.
There is a need to have a common, efficient and reliable digital environment for ATM stakeholders to manage these increasingly complex information exchanges. This is where the SES (Single European Sky) Digital Backbone infrastructure initiative plans to bring added value, supporting these digital exchanges of information.
This first Newsletter on the SES Digital Backbone informs ATM stakeholders on what the initiative is about, who is involved, how you can get involved, where we stand today and what is coming up.
