Have your say: Updated CP1 proposal now out for public consultation
On 17 August 2020, the European Commission launched the public consultation on the Common Project 1 (CP1) proposal, inviting EU stakeholders and citizens to express their views. This public consultation is the last opportunity for stakeholders and EU citizens to give their opinions and provide comments until the 14 September.
Although its technical part is mostly based on the proposal developed by SESAR Deployment Manager (SDM) in consultation with the Air Traffic Management (ATM) stakeholders from 2017 until early 2020, the draft CP1 Regulation includes modalities for its enforcement as well as further changes into European Commission’s Implementing Regulation on the definition of common projects, the establishment of governance and the identification of incentives supporting the implementation of the European Air Traffic Management Master Plan (Regulation (EU) No 409/2013).
The draft CP1 Regulation is based on the reviewed PCP technical annex, fully consulted with operational stakeholders by the SDM from 2017 to 2020. Considering that the consulted draft proposal was revised by the European Commission, we encourage ATM stakeholders to take part in this public consultation, which will guide the future of common project implementation and influence SESAR’s impact on Europe’s ATM modernisation.
