Dear Reader,

Resilience has become more than a buzzword in the modernisation of air traffic management — it is a guiding principle. When we speak about resilience, flexibility and enhanced coordination, we are ultimately talking about stronger airspace management, more robust network coordination, and the truly flexible use of European airspace.

The deployment of Common Project 1 (CP1) is a key driver of this transformation. By accelerating the implementation of essential SESAR solutions, CP1 is reinforcing the resilience of the European ATM network and delivering concrete operational benefits. I invite you to read more in our first article.

One lesson has already emerged clearly from CP1 deployment: success is never achieved alone. Meaningful stakeholder involvement throughout the development and deployment of SESAR is indispensable. Strong coordination, co-creation and sustained collaboration form the backbone of effective implementation.

The SESAR Deployment Manager remains firmly committed to this collective approach — ensuring that tangible benefits are realised for passengers, air navigation service providers, airports, airspace users and the environment.

We hope you enjoy reading the latest updates on SESAR deployment.
