SESAR Deployment Programme 2024 – update 2025 Strengthening guidance and coordination

The SESAR Deployment Manager is proud to present the 2025 edition of the SESAR Deployment Programme (SDP). This new release is fully based on the version published in 2024 and unanimously endorsed by the ATM community during the Stakeholders Consultation process. Moreover, it fully incorporates and reflects the feedback received from the European Aviation Safety Agency and the European Commission.

This latest update delivers a more effective and enhanced Programme which will even better guide and coordinate stakeholder’s investments and implementation activities.

The update 2025 contains three main changes, on top of several typos’ correction:

For reasons of clarity and better understanding, the word “scenarios” has been replaced with “options” when explaining the deployment approach to be followed by the different stakeholders in implementing ATM Functionality 5 - SWIM.

Furthermore, a reference to the specifications related to NM systems was added under ATM Family 5.5.1 – Cooperative Network Information Exchange.

The sections linking CNS with the different AFs have been removed, considering that CNS aspects will be covered in the CNS Evolution Plan.

We will build on the existing consensus as one team with our stakeholders to continue our SESAR deployment coordination and synchronisation efforts.”

Presently, the SESAR Deployment Programme – update 2025, was handed over to European Commission to obtain the official approval by the EC College of Commissioners.
