#SESARDELIVERS: from innovation to deployment

SESAR Delivers is back with a new series of stories showcasing how air traffic management innovation is moving into operation and delivering tangible benefits across Europe.

The series, brought to you by the SESAR Joint Undertaking and the SESAR Deployment Manager, delves into the research and innovation delivering cutting edge solutions, and the deployment coordination and synchronisation efforts that are putting them into operation and seeing their benefits take shape. Over the coming weeks, you will hear from the stakeholders at the heart of this journey, with eight stories ranging from information exchange and airport integration to extended arrival management.

The stories will also show the different ways in which SESAR solutions reach operations. Some are being deployed in a coordinated and synchronised way through Common Project One, led by the SESAR Deployment Manager, such as System Wide Information Management and the Airport Operations Plan, while others can be deployed locally to address specific operational needs, such as time-based separation at London Heathrow Airport and remote tower operations.

Together, these stories show how SESAR innovation and deployment together with the civil and military operational stakeholders at airports, air navigation service providers and airlines and supported by European co-funding, are working hand in hand to transform Europe’s aviation system – improving efficiency, resilience, capacity and sustainability, while supporting a more competitive sector.
