This was SESAR Deployment Manager at Airspace World 2026

Dear stakeholder,

Airspace World in Lisbon once again proved to be the place to connect with our stakeholders. Across more than 50 meetings, discussions and exchanges, the SESAR Deployment Manager reinforced several key messages:

· Proven success: CP1 and SDM have delivered tangible benefits by coordinating operational stakeholders throughout their SESAR implementation journey and transforming operations through new technologies and processes.

· The power of collaboration: Coordinated investments and a strong European framework demonstrate that working as one team delivers real results for ATM modernisation.

· Maintaining momentum: Deployment must continue at an accelerated pace, with the completion of CP1 remaining a top priority.

· Partnership is essential: Continued cooperation and leadership from operational stakeholders and EU institutions should guide all future deployment and innovation efforts.

· EU competitiveness: Appropriate EU funding must be secured to sustain this unprecedented transformation by ATM stakeholders and to preserve Europe’s global leadership in digital ATM.

Looking ahead, innovative technologies will remain essential to addressing challenges related to capacity, efficiency, resilience and sustainability. This was reflected in many of the Airspace World 2026 panels covering Trajectory-Based Operations, CNS technologies and digital ATM. Continued collaboration, co-creation and EU financial support for those required to invest will remain vital to turning the vision of the digital sky into reality.
